Warm Enough to Race: State Meet Kit
Anna McCarty qualified for the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Cross Country Finals. She races Saturday, November 7, at Michigan International Speedway.

November at MIS is cold and windy, and the state meet is the coldest start line of the season. In August we set aside money for whoever made it this far, before anyone knew who that would be. This campaign pays for it: a team top for the runner who qualified, and hats and gloves for the teammates who make the trip to stand at the fence and cheer.
Our goal is $500. Every purchase will be listed, with the receipt, on our Where the Money Goes page.
A note on family
Anna is the daughter of our President, Patrick McCarty, who is also her coach. The state kit was budgeted in August for any Carson City-Crystal runner who qualified. Because Anna is family, the spending is approved by a director outside the McCarty family, and Patrick, Courtney and Emma McCarty step aside from that decision.
If we raise more than we need
The balance stays with the program and goes to the next runners who need help.
Thank you for getting her to the line warm.
